A burglary sends chills through a northland community. On Sunday crooks broke into the home of a man who has played Santa Claus for more than 40 years.
Jim Thompson, a veteran, has played Santa for more than 40 years. And he knows more than Santa will keep an eye on whoever burglarized his family's home. Playing Santa at a nursing home holiday party, he asked the children if they'd been good boys or girls with images of "bad" guys in the back of his mind. Thompson and his wife left their Kansas City home to meet family for brunch Sunday.
